From our beginnings as one small neighbourhood centre in 1937, WoodGreen has grown to 24 locations throughout Toronto’s East End. WoodGreen has 500 staff, hundreds of partner organizations and thousands of volunteers. A founding United Way member agency, WoodGreen serves more than 37,000 individuals and families each year.

Boundless Possibilites for WomenBoundless Possibilities for Women provides life skills, computer, and financial literacy education to women who are interested in attending college, or finding work. College-track participants learn about the college application process, student loans, and financial aid. English Language ServicesEnglish language instruction is an essential element in helping newcomers to feel at home and be fully productive in their new land. Immigrant Services offers Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) from basic to professional levels and the Enhanced Language Training (ELT) Services for newcomers to help them connect with Canadian society and their new way of life. Our LINC program provides newcomers with language training in English to help them function in, and contribute to, Canadian society. Our ELT programs provide advanced-level English language training to adult newcomers. Through job-specific language training, ELT helps newcomers to more easily and quickly find and keep jobs for which they are qualified. Homeward BoundHomeward Bound is an innovative program of wrap-around services to help single mothers and their children move from homelessness and poverty to successful careers and self-sufficiency. Homeward Bound provides single moms the opportunity to receive life skills, computer, and financial literacy education, and then attend college at a fully-accredited institution.
